Care for every part of the day

Before school, after school, and every holiday

All on the school grounds, with a healthy breakfast in the morning and afternoon tea at 3pm.

What your child gets

Play, food and people who care

  • Room to relax

After a structured day, children choose what they do: construction, board games, art and craft, the reading corner, iPads for movie-making and karaoke.

  • Good food

Breakfast and a filling afternoon tea at 3pm, made mostly on site by Smart Bites. Allergies and intolerances catered for.

  • Getting active

Sport and structured games after school, and supervised hand-offs to on-site clubs like chess, swimming and tennis.

  • Warm educators

Qualified, supportive staff with ongoing training, focused on every child's self-esteem.

Exceeding, in all seven areas

Among the best-rated OSHC services in Australia

A Government inspector assessed our programs, safety, spaces, staffing, relationships with families and leadership over several days. The P&C Executive manages the service and reports on it at every monthly General Meeting.

Enrolling

Three steps to your first session

We encourage every school family to enrol, even just for emergencies. Children can't attend until an enrolment form is complete.

  1. Join the waiting list

Fill in the form below, one per child. It's run by Xap, our booking system.

  2. Accept your offer

We email you a place. Accept it and complete the enrolment form in Xap.

  3. Book your days

Permanent or casual, in the Xap Smile app or web portal.

Have these ready before you start:

  • Your child's immunisation history statement
  • Your doctor's details
  • Any medical plans (asthma, anaphylaxis)
  • Centrelink CRNs for you and your child, to claim the Child Care Subsidy
  • Two emergency contacts who aren't parents or guardians

Good to know

Bookings: permanent, casual and shared care
  • Permanent: set days each week in term, booked in Xap. Cancel a one-off session free with 7 days' notice; email the centre to change your regular days.
  • Casual: book any time in Xap, subject to availability, at a higher rate.
  • Shift workers and shared care: blocks of 2 weeks or more with the same days count as permanent; shorter blocks are casual.
Activities and vacation care

Children are free to use our play equipment any time, and planned activities come from their own ideas: drama, art and craft, cooking, science, sport and construction.

The vacation care program comes out at least 4 weeks before each holiday, with themed days, incursions and excursions.

Food and allergies
  • Breakfast every school morning
  • Afternoon tea at 3pm
  • Full menu in the school holidays

Water is always available. Menus follow the Queensland Smart Choices guidelines and are posted weekly on Facebook and Instagram. Tell us about any allergies or dietary needs; we may ask for a Medical Management Plan.

Clubs and activities outside OSHC

Children can go to and from clubs run on the school grounds (environmental club, swimming, chess, martial arts, tennis and so on) once you've signed an OSHC permission form.
